PDO COG thread lifting is a new and effective medical technique for lifting and tightening the skin of the face and neck. This treatment contours the face and stimulates the production of collagen.

These are lifting threads as opposed to rejuvenating threads (mono). COG threads also rejuvenate as they cause trauma thus encouraging collagen production.
At Doctor Face we use the latest technology in threads. We use 6D cog threads which means that the barbs are placed finer than the 3D cogs threads, every 60° in order to fix the tissue in all directions and to achieve a powerful and long-lasting lifting.

Male or females who have skin laxity or skin sagging to the mid/lower face, visible jowls and loose skin to the neck. PDO cog thread treatment is for males and females aged 30 and over.
Immediately, then you will notice over the next 6 months your skin will look younger and more radiant. It is recommend having additional threads placed at regular intervals after the initial procedure to ensure longer lasting results.
- You will be required to take a low dose of antibiotics prior to your procedure
- Avoid taking any anti-inflammatories 24 hours prior to the procedure
- Do not exercise for 24 hours
- No alcohol for 24 hours
- Avoid Vitamin C & E for 10 days prior to the procedure
You will experience some mild discomfort during your procedure. Your practitioner will give you a local anaesthetic, similar to the one your dentist gives you to assist with this.
You will have some discomfort for a few days. Regular Paracetamol should help with this. Do not take Ibuprofen. Your practitioner will give you a list of Do’s and Don’ts following your procedure.
This is a minimally invasive procedure so therefore recovery time is minimal. Side effects may include swelling, bruising and some discomfort
